Step by Step

This tour will allow you to discover Ho Chi Minh City by scooter. You will not have to drive, but you will be the passenger while a local guide drives through the city traffic. The total duration ranges from 3 to 4 hours. There are usually four itineraries to choose from and the list below summarises the most popular option: Combo.

  • Ho Thi Ky Flower Market - Concentrates the most important flower sellers. Here you will find beautiful bouquets, potted plants and flowers such as orchids, carnations, roses and lilies. The market is also a haven for street food, with Vietnamese or Cambodian specialities such as Ho Thi Ky (crab soup) or Gỏi đu đủ (green papaya salad).
  • Thich Quang Duc Monument - The statue depicting Thich Quang Duc, the Buddhist monk who set himself on fire in 1963 in protest against the regime of Ngô Đình Diệm. The photos of his sacrifice went around the world.
  • Notre-Dame Cathedral - Probably the city's most attractive and iconic colonial monument. Its façade is made of red brick and is crowned by twin towers. It is a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic, and was inaugurated at Easter 1880.
  • Post Office Buildings - Characterised by its typical colonial style, with arched windows and green-painted wooden shutters. It is the work of a renowned architect: Gustave Eiffel.
  • Opera - This elegant building has a special feature: it is built two metres high to isolate it from the traffic of cars and motorbikes. It was completed in 1898 to a design by the French architect Eugene Ferret.
  • Ba Thien Hau Temple - Built in seal style, typical of Chinese architecture. It was built in the 18th century by Chinese immigrants.

Alternatively, you can opt for the Hidden Gems (which focuses on Chinatown and includes a cold drink and snack), The Sights (with entry to the War Museum) or the Night Tour.

Super tour, we loved the whole tour. The city is very safe to ride around on a motorbike and we saw many more places than we would have on foot.

We loved everything. My kids are history buffs and were fascinated by everything the guide told. It was well worth it.

Since almost 100% of the reviews of the tour had 5 stars I knew it was going to be great. I had high expectations and yet it was so much better than expected. The guide was the best, we loved him!
