Tour one of San Francisco's most important museums- no lines, no waiting! The de Young Museum is internationally renowned for its exhibits and displays of art and artifacts from around the world.
With advance tickets, you can tour this museum at your own pace and schedule. The museum is well organised and shows you the order of the exhibits, the history behind the works and more. To complete your visit with all the information you need, you can opt for an audio guide and access to exclusive exhibits for an extra cost.
The de Young Museum was originally opened in 1895, but an earthquake destroyed it in the 1980s. In the early 21st century it was rebuilt and reopened to the public, completely renovated and with a focus on anthropology as well as fine art. In this way, you will be able to discover impressive paintings, sculptures and objects from indigenous civilizations of America, Africa and Oceania.
In this activity you will also visit the museum tower, which is about 44 metres high. Although it is not very high, its privileged location will give you the best views of San Francisco, its picturesque buildings, the Marin Headlands, the Golden Gate Bridge and the breathtaking sea.
In addition to visiting the de Young Museum, you can enter the Legion of Honor Museum, built in honour of the Californian soldiers who died in World War I. The main feature of this museum is the Legion of Honor Museum. The main feature of this museum is the majestic collection of ancient and European art, with works dating back more than 4,000 years.
Join this activity and marvel at the history of art and civilisations as you wander at your own pace through the prestigious collections of the Young and Legion of Honour museums.
