Buying Los Angeles Sightseeing Cards is a good idea if you don't want to spend a lot of money visiting the city's main attractions and enjoying the most popular tourist activities. You will get a significant savingof 45% to 50% compared to buying individual tickets.

Also, depending on the sightseeing pass you select, there are some aspects that will benefit you. For example:

  • The Los Angeles all-inclusive pass will suit you if you want to visit as many places as possible during your time in the city.
  • The Explorer Pass is ideal if you want to go to just a few LA attractions.

On the other hand, both Los Angeles Sightseeing Passes allow you to save time on your itinerary, as you don't have to queue to get to selected destinations. For example, when visiting the Los Angeles Chinese Theatre, take part in tours of Warner Bros Studios Los Angeles, among other activities.

When is it not convenient to buy Los Angeles Tourist Cards?

It's not a good idea to buy Los Angeles Sightseeing Cards when the attractions included don't match your main tourist interests. If most of the places and activities you want to visit are not included in any of the passes, you will not take advantage of the discounts and you will pay for a card that you will not fully utilise.

For example, if you are interested in activities such as the best helicopter tours in Los Angeles, pub crawls or a trip to Yosemite and Glacier Point from Los Angeles that are not covered by the All Inclusive Pass or Explorer Pass, then the Los Angeles Sightseeing Pass may not be the best option for you. Tourist cards may not be the best option for you then.

Any time of the year is the best time to go to Los Angeles to enjoy the attractions and tourist activities offered on the Los Angeles Sightseeing Pass. However, in order to get the most out of your sightseeing pass, there are a few tips to keep in mind.

Plan your visits

It is good to take some time to make an itinerary with the places and activities you want to visit: the Natural History Museum, celebrity house tours in Los Angeles, the Hollywood sign, a 3-hour bike tour of Los Angeles, among others.

Make sure you organise your destinations according to their location and time. This way, you won't waste time going from one end of the city to the other, and you can take advantage of everything the pass has to offer.

Check if attractions require reservations

Before you visit any of the attractions offered on your tourist card on the spur of the moment, check to see if reservations are required. Although it is not always necessary, some destinations are very crowded and this is a must. Especially if you're going to Los Angeles in the summer, when the crowds tend to be at their highest.

Use the app on your tourist pass

Once you have purchased your Los Angeles Tourist Card, you can access the official app and check all the information related to the respective pass. Make sure you know which attractions are on offer, their opening and closing times, exact address, distance between the different destinations, access routes, etc.
