The tour usually takes about 4 hours and is done on electric bicycles. Before you start, your guide will give you a safety brief ing on how to use this mode of transport.
During the ride along the Scenic Road, a 21km paved route, you'll make several stops to take in the spectacular desert scenery, always led by a professional guide. Among the most frequent stops on this tour are the following:
- Visitor Centre: at this facility you will be given information about the history of Red Rock Canyon, as well as its geology and the flora and fauna that inhabit it. You will also be able to see some of the exhibits it houses.
- Calico Hills: one of the best views of the characteristic reddish formations of the entire Red Rock Canyon.
- Viewpoints: during the tour you will pass several viewpoints from where you will be able to take some spectacular photos. Don't forget to carry your mobile phone or camera.
- Petroglyphs: in many areas of the desert you will see animal and human figures carved into the rock. Their authors were the Native Americans who inhabited the area.
In addition to these attractions, with a bit of luck you will also be able to see some of the animals that live in this arid region: wild donkeys, wild horses, desert tortoises and coyotes, among others.
