Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas Tickets: how to buy and prices
The city's hotels host everything from musicals to daily exclusive concerts. However, thousands of tourists visit Sin City for the Cirque du Soleil exhibitions.
Do you like performances by contortionists and dancers? Then among the things to see and do in Las Vegas, a Cirque du Soleil show should be your priority. The capital of entertainment made in USA hosts several productions.
As everyone knows, Las Vegas hosts some of the best night shows in the world, but few are as original as those offered by this company. What's more, you'll have the advantage of being able to choose the theme that most appeals to you.
1. Cirque du Soleil - O
This is one of the longest-running shows in Las Vegas and takes place at the famous Bellagio. Here you will find a gigantic pool which is used for the acrobats' somersaults. In fact, "O" is an aquatic show whose main character is Filemon (Guifà), a young man who finds himself lost in the world of "O".
During the journey, Filemon meets dozens of different characters and together they give life to choreographies of great impact. As they are performed in a swimming pool, the organisation has to be perfect. For example, each performer has several identical costumes so that they can change after the dives into the water.
Despite this, you don't have to worry about splashes: the stage is far enough away from the stalls.

- Address: 3600 S Las Vegas Boulevard
- Price: from $90 (approx.)
2. Cirque du Soleil - Ka
This long-running Cirque du Soleil production tells the story of two twins, a boy and a girl from royalty, who try their best to get back together after a series of vicissitudes. It all starts during a boat trip: at first the atmosphere is relaxed but enemies are on the prowl...
The particularity of this show is its mix of traditional dances, Chinese theatre, capoeira and martial arts. The exotic costumes and the enveloping soundtrack are an added incentive to buy a ticket to Cirque du Soleil.
By the way, if you visit Sin City for its entertainment offer, I recommend you read the post about the best shows at Planet Hollywood or the article that explains how the musical Thunder From Down Under works.
- Address: MGM Grand, S Las Vegas Boulevard 3799
- Price: from $90 (approx.)
3. Cirque du Soleil - The Beatles LOVE
A show capable of enchanting fans of the Fab Four as well as everyone else. "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", "Lady Madonna" and other hits are accompanied by dances, 3D projections, attractions, videos and much more. The show came to Las Vegas on 30 June 2006 and has stayed ever since.
It is a sensory journey where everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. To guarantee the best sound experience, the stage is surrounded by 6,000 speakers while the seating at the Mirage Hotel is a guarantee of comfort.
- Address: The Mirage, S Las Vegas Boulevard 3400
- Price: from $90 (approx.)
4. Cirque du Soleil - Mystère
A show that has been livening up the city's nights since the 1990s. In these long years it has been named eight times the "Best Production Show" by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
If the name is a bit cryptic, it's because it tells the story of the universe from beginning to end.
Although it is now a classic in the city, it wasn't all roses at the beginning. Back then, Cirque du Soleil was not what it is today and investors seemed to have little faith in the show. Some 30 years later, it is safe to say that they were wrong.
- Address: Treasure Island, Las Vegas Boulevard S 3300
- Price: from $90 (approx.)
5. Cirque du Soleil - Michael Jackson ONE
If you grew up with the songs of the King of Pop, you must make a stop at Mandala Bay. The show is divided into 22 acts, all perfectly choreographed. The story revolves around four characters and their vicissitudes. Of course, the moonwalk is a must.
The dancers wear typical MJ attire - white gloves, black shoes, Fedora hat and sunglasses - and perform classics such as "Wanna be startin' somethin' somethin'", "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller".
According to many reviews from industry experts and enthusiasts, LOVE succeeds in transporting you back to the 80s by bringing the unique style of the Indiana pop star to life.
- Address: Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas Boulevard S 3950
- Price: from $90 (approx.)
Can I see Cirque du Soleil with children and is it suitable for children?
It depends on the show. To be honest, Cirque du Soleil is pure art and children may not understand all the scenes. However, some shows tend to appeal to children, especially if they have easy plots and colourful scenery. "Corteo", "Kà" and "Luzia" are on this list, although it could be longer.
If you don't think they would enjoy it, I recommend options such as the Shark Reef Aquarium in Las Vegas, the wonderful Hershey's Chocolate World sweet shop or the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
What level of English do I need to see Cirque du Soleil?
Youdon't need to know Shakespeare's language to enjoy the shows. To use his own words, Cirque du Soleil's mission is to stimulate the imagination, provoke the senses and evoke emotions in people all over the world.
To export the same show to every corner of the globe, Guy Laliberté and his collaborators have invented Cirquish, a language that is the Esperanto of the circus world. Sometimes the shows mix words and expressions from different languages, but don't worry, the lyrics are not the main thing.
It should be noted that in some productions - for example The Beatles LOVE or Michael Jackson ONE - English is used. As they are tributes, they necessarily have to focus on the lyrics of the songs and in these cases it would be difficult to adopt Cirquish.
If you are not confident about your level of English, you can opt for activities where the language is not essential: see sharks at the Shark Reef Aquarium, take a hop-on/hop-off bus tour, climb the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas or other activities in and around the city.
What is the dress code for this show?
There is no specific dress code. Audiences are welcome to wear a wide variety of clothing. Please note that other attractions may require a suit or at least a shirt.
This is not the case for the temples of gambling - the best casinos in Las Vegas are no problem to enter in jeans and a T-shirt - but it is the case for some restaurants. Make sure of this if you book a table for after the show.
Why do I recommend these shows?
Cirque du Soleil is a mix of dance, martial arts, visual effects and all the acrobatic skills you can imagine. It has nothing to do with traditional circuses: there are no animals but the greatest performers and acrobats.
Each show employs countless performers and therefore the organisation has to be perfect. Harmoniously blending art, dance and song is not easy and requires constant training. Thanks to everyone's dedication, the original small venue on the outskirts of Montreal has become a billion dollar business.
If you've come to Sin City for its shows, I recommend you read the article dedicated to the musical Thunder from Down Under or the post that explains in detail the best shows at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Should I have dinner before or after the show? Will the restaurants be open all around?
It'sup to you. In the United States you usually eat early - around 18:00 - and if you don't feel like sitting at a table before the show, you can always opt for a restaurant that is open 24 hours a day. The list below reveals the best options:
- Siegel's 1941, the elegant dining room at the El Cortez Hotel. Everything is delicious, especially the Reuben sandwich (with veal, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese) and the Fat Irish Green Corn Beef Hash (poached eggs and potato croquettes). Located at 600 Fremont Street
- Shokku Ramen, the must-visit stop for manga lovers (and good food, of course). Its walls are decorated with scenes from Japanese comics and its soups attract thousands of locals and tourists. For a taste of Japanese cuisine, just head to 3889 Spring Mountain Road.
- El Dorado Cantina, the temple of Mexican cuisine. It uses only organic and GMO-free ingredients to prepare its tasty burritos and grilled meats. There are three restaurants in the city and the one that never closes is located at 3025 Sammy Davis Jr. Drive. The official website has all the information you need.
- White Castle, the fast food chain specialising in mini-burgers. It's a cheap option in the middle of the famous Strip. You'll find it at 3411 S Las Vegas Boulevard.
A trip to the gambling capital can be the perfect opportunity to broaden your culinary horizons. To do so, I recommend you read the post dedicated to the best food tours in Las Vegas.
