Chicago Architecture Tour

This experience will last approximately two hours and will be conducted in groups of 15 people maximum, allowing for a more personalised service. You will also have access to the famous exponent of art deco, the Chicago Board of Trade Building.

Art Deco was a style of architectural, industrial and graphic design intended to represent the happiness and opulence in which Americans lived in the 1920s. It was most commonly represented in buildings by geometric ornamentation and allegorical bas-reliefs and luxurious materials.

The Chicago Board of Trade Building is one of the greatest exponents of this architectural trend. This skyscraper, dedicated to the trading of financial derivatives, has very evident Art Deco elements, such as the statue of Ceres that crowns the building. Ceres was the Roman goddess of agriculture and is an allegory of abundance.
