Get to know the typical gastronomy of Charleston with this experience in a bistro in the heart of the city, which includes a wine tasting. This is an activity that lasts around five hours in groups of around 12 people, which you will do together with a professional chef.
During the experience you will learn how to make Low Country dishes, typical of the southern United States, which is a mixture of international influences: African, French, English and Caribbean, with ingredients such as okra and aubergines.
As well as enjoying a chef-prepared lunch, you'll also be able to take their recipes home with you at the end of the tour. You will have the opportunity to taste the most popular wines served in the city, as long as you are over 21 years old.
In case you do not drink alcoholic beverages, the wine can be replaced by coffee or tea during the tasting.
In addition to the food tasting, you will be taken on a chef-led tour of Charleston's historic district with lunch prepared by the chef himself. During the walking tour, you'll visit various locations to learn first-hand how and where the ingredients that went into the Low Country menu were acquired.
