Step by Step
An excursion of approximately 4 hours to Sharjah is worthwhile while travelling in Dubai. The emirate of Sharjah is 25 minutes from Dubai and is the third largest emirate in the country. It is known as the Pearl of the Gulf and has also been labelled the "Cultural Capital of the UAE".
Each group will have around 35 people. Transport and return will be by private vehicle, and you will be given explanations by the driver in English, who will tell you interesting facts and facts about Sharjah. You will also have an audio guide available in more than 9 languages.
Some of the places you will visit during this tour are:
- King Faisal Mosque: the largest mosque in the city. It is named after King Faisal, the former monarch of Saudi Arabia.
- Sharjah Fort: built in 1820, it was the former residence of the Al Qasimi, the emirate's former ruling family.
- Sharjah Heritage Museum: explore the interiors of the museum, filled with artefacts, costumes and works on Emirati and Arab culture.
Al Markazi and Al ArsaSouks: two of the country's most enchanting markets, where you can browse for sale items such as carpets, jewellery and exotic handicrafts.
