Lanzarote Cesar Manrique Tour

Get to know the life and work of the artist César Manrique with a tour of his legacy in his hometown: Lanzarote. In an activity that lasts around 9 hours (and for groups of around 50 people), you will have the opportunity to visit five attractions from his career. The transfer to and from your hotel in a bus will also be included.

Follow in the footsteps of this artist with a visit to his house museum, the César Manrique Foundation. Located in the centre of Lanzarote, in the house known as Taro de Tahíche, the painter, architect and sculptor turned this building into a work of art. It is built on five volcanic bubbles converted into rooms.

This house is an example of how the artist converted Lanzarote, connecting it with nature and respecting the island's landscape.

Other attractions included in this reserve:

• Jameos del Agua or Cueva de los Verdes: in this trip to the interior of Lanzarote, which are part of the same volcanic tunnel formed by the eruption of the Corona Volcano, between 20,000 and 25,000 years ago, you will be able to see the shapes that inspired the Spanish artist.
• Mirador del Río: one of César Manrique's architectural creations and located at the top of the escarpment of the Risco de Famara. Here you will have beautiful views of the island of La Graciosa.
• Cactus Garden: the last great creation of César Manrique in Lanzarote, where he made this place a very special home for the cactus flowers of the planet.
• Monumento al Campesino: a sculpture dedicated to the farmers who work so hard to produce crops in Lanzarote's volcanic soil and was created by Manrique in 1968.
