Fuerteventura is known for being, geologically speaking, the oldest island in the Canary archipelago. It was declared a biosphere reserve by Unesco and, because it is the closest to Africa, it is one of the driest islands. Its paradisiacal beaches of white or golden sand and turquoise waters have made it a privileged and unique place. It is also one of the most seductive and ecologically valuable areas of the Canary Islands.
A boat trip can be the best activity to do in Fuerteventura, as it is a quiet island without large crowds of tourists. Its beaches surrounded by dune fields, its crystal clear lagoons and spectacular natural reefs stand out. If you just want to relax for a while you can look for its solitary beaches or small islets.
