Visit Medina Azahara, a palatial 10th century medieval city dating back to the time of Muslim rule in Spain. During the 3-hour tour, you'll walk around the complex and see the ruins of the site, which are made up of palaces, gardens, royal rooms, mosques, military complexes and ceremonial halls .

The caliphate city of Medina Azahara was built in the 10th century by the caliph of the Umayyad dynasty, Abderramán III. It was here that the caliph moved his political and governmental centre and built the city to show his power and splendour to his political enemies. In 2018, Medina Azahara was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site . That same year, the complex was visited by more than 280,000 tourists, making it one of the most visited cultural sites in Spain .
