Step by Step

Located on Montjuïc mountain, just a few metres from the Magic Fountains, is El Pueblo Espanyol, an architectural museum built in 1929, which was intended to bring together the main characteristics of the villages of Spain. Soak up Spain's rich culture with your ticket to Barcelona's Poble Espanyol.

This open-air architectural museum, made up of 117 buildings to scale, composes a typical Spanish village with its streets, houses, squares, church, restaurants and artisan workshops. A total of 40,000 square metres of scale reproductions of buildings representative of the different autonomous communities of Spain.

You will walk through its picturesque streets, admire its beautiful buildings and watch the craftsmen at work shaping pieces of pottery, leather, glass or jewellery. Visit the more than 20 artisan workshops and take home a piece to remember Poble Espanyol by!

Make a stop at the Feeling Spain audiovisual spaces and the Fiesta space, distributed throughout the site. They will show you the landscapes, traditions and popular festivals of the different areas of Spain, such as the Patum in Berga, the Castells in Catalonia, Easter Week in Andalusia and the Sanfermines in Pamplona.

Located in the heart of the town, you will visit the Fran Daurel Museum, a private collection of contemporary art where you will discover more than 300 works by Spanish artists such as Dalí, Picasso, Miró and Chillida. Strolling through the Poble Espanyol Sculpture Garden, as well as discovering 36 large-format sculptures, you' ll find two giant slides where both children and adults will have a great time in a natural setting.

And don't miss the Romanesque monastery of Sant Miquel. Go inside and discover one of the most symbolic buildings in Poble Espanyol. Right in front of the monastery, you'll find a viewpoint from where you can enjoy spectacular views of Barcelona . You'll be able to see La Sagrada Familia, Tibidabo amusement park and the whole of Barcelona at your feet.
