Step by Step
This gastronomic experience with lunch or dinner allows you to enter the home of a Roman family who will prepare the most famous specialities for you. An aperitif, wine and water are included. In approximately 3 hours you will have enough time to taste the recipes of the local cuisine.
Rome is known for its pasta dishes and during the experience you will be able to try one of the following specialities:
- Spaghetti alla carbonara: the combination of eggs, guanciale (a cut of pork from the cheek), pecorino romano cheese and black pepper is simply irresistible.
- Rigatoni con la Pajata: a dish of humble origins using pajata, an inexpensive cut of veal that reaches its peak of flavour in long cooking.
- Tonnarelli cacio e pepe: a type of pasta similar to spaghetti, but thicker. The recipe takes its name from its main ingredients: "cacio" (cheese) and "pepe" (black pepper).
The experience ends with a dessert. The cook can prepare something typical, such as zeppole di San Giuseppe, a sourdough pastry that is fried until golden brown and crispy and filled with pastry cream.
