Step by Step
This scooter tour is particularly suitable for those who want to see the most important sights of Montreal without walking too much. The tour lasts about 3 hours and includes a local guide who will tell you the most interesting anecdotes. When booking, you can choose between three options - morning, afternoon and evening - and the following list indicates the main stages:
- Marché Jean-Talon - One of Montreal's oldest public markets. It is located in the heart of Little Italy and offers a wide selection of fresh produce.
- Parc du Mont Royal - 200 hectares of green space within walking distance of downtown. One of the most beautiful spots is the Kondiaronk lookout overlooking the Downtown district.
- Saint-Henri - Working-class neighbourhood converted into a trendy area. The red brick buildings reveal its industrial past, linked to leather tanning. In addition to the Art Deco residences, the Atwater market, one of the most important in the city, is located here.
- Lachine Canal - It runs through the south-west and connects the Old Port with Lake Saint-Louis. On its banks are the old red brick factories.
- Vieux Montréal - The oldest area, bringing together 17th century and more modern buildings. Landmarks include the Basilica of Notre-Dame, Saint-Paul Street - the oldest street in Montreal - and the lively Place Jacques-Cartier.
- Quartier Latin - Home to a university campus and the epicentre of nightlife. Here you will find numerous restaurants, bistros and cafés.
- Chinatown - Chinatown was born in 1890 and has been home to a large Asian colony ever since. It is the ideal place to sample specialities such as dim sum, noodles and Hong Kong-style sweets.
Stop at the markets for local specialities such as poutine (fries, cheese and gravy).
